Overview
DialDAO is a local-business directory marketplace built for Bangladesh — a single place where people can discover, compare, and contact businesses across their city, and where business owners can claim and manage their own listings.
SynchSoft built the platform end to end: a Nuxt web application backed by Supabase, with companion iOS and Android apps so the directory travels with its users.
Outcome: A live marketplace with 1,467 businesses across 62 categories, running on a stack designed to scale with the directory.
The Problem
Finding reliable local businesses in Bangladesh still largely happens through word of mouth. Information is scattered, listings on global platforms are thin or outdated, and small businesses have no simple way to maintain an accurate public presence.
DialDAO needed:
- A directory structure that could organize thousands of businesses into meaningful, browsable categories
- A listing model businesses could claim and keep current themselves
- Search and discovery that works for real local intent
- A web platform and mobile apps sharing one source of truth
The Solution
One backend, every surface
The platform runs on Supabase — PostgreSQL, authentication, and storage behind a single API consumed by the Nuxt web app and the native mobile apps. A listing updated once is correct everywhere.
Built for browsing
The directory is organized into 62 categories, with listing pages structured for both human readers and search engines, so businesses gain a findable public profile from the moment they join.
Web-first, mobile everywhere
The Nuxt web platform carries the full experience — discovery, listings, and business management — while the iOS and Android apps keep the directory in users' pockets.
Results
- 1,467 businesses live on the platform (and growing — the count is public on the site)
- 62 categories organizing the directory
- Live in production at dialdao.com, with iOS and Android companion apps
